AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE MILFORD SCHOOL BOARD |
Section 1. Amend §1070, Title 14, Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
§1070 School Board for Milford School District.
Notwithstanding anything contained
in this chapter to the contrary, the School Board of the Milford School
District shall be composed of 8 7 members. Four Three
members shall be elected at large from the reorganized Milford School District
and 1 board member shall be elected from each of the 4 areas "A,"
"B," "C" and "D" described in paragraph (1) of
this section.
Section 2. The Milford School Board at-large seat whose term expires on June 30, 2016 shall not be filled, reducing the at-large number of Milford School Board members from 4 to 3. The Milford School Board at-large member whose term expires on June 30, 2016 shall remain in office until that term expires on June 30, 2016.
SYNOPSIS

This Act reduces the at-large membership of the Milford School Board from 4 to 3 as of June 30, 2016. The current at-large member holding that seat will continue to do so until the end of his term on June 30, 2016. |
