HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 11

EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE TASK FORCE TO REVIEW AND RECOMMEND NOISE CONTROL LAWS IN THE STATE OF DELAWARE.

WHEREAS, the Task Force to Review and Recommend Noise Control Laws in the State of Delaware was established under House Resolution No. 40 of the 148th General Assembly to review the Delaware Noise Control Act, local noise control ordinances, and noise control enforcement issues throughout the State of Delaware; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force was directed to issue a final report to the House of Representatives and the Speaker of the House by January 1, 2017, and;

WHEREAS, House Resolution No. 5 of the 149th General Assembly extended the date by which the final report was due to April 30, 2017, in order to give the Task Force additional time to develop its recommendations; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force has worked diligently on its study, but is not yet prepared to submit its report; and

WHEREAS, the members of the Task Force were unable to submit the report by April 30, 2017;

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 149th General Assembly of the State of Delaware that the date by which the final report of the Task Force to Review and Recommend Noise Control Laws in the State of Delaware is due be extended to June 30, 2017.

SYNOPSIS

This Resolution extends the due date of the final report of the Task Force to Review and Recommend Noise Control Laws in the State of Delaware from April 30, 2017, to June 30, 2017.
