HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 54

EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE OF THE SCHOOL CONSOLIDATION TASK FORCE.

WHEREAS, House Concurrent Resolution No. 39 of the 149 ^th General Assembly established the School District Consolidation Task Force (“Task Force”) to study and make findings and recommendations regarding the impact of consolidating school districts in Delaware; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force was directed to issue a final report to all members of the General Assembly by January 30, 2018; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force and its 4 subcommittees have held monthly meetings since August 2017; and

WHEREAS, the Task Force has worked diligently on its study, but is not yet prepared to submit its report.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives and the Senate of the 149th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, that the date by which the final report of the Task Force is due is extended to May 15, 2018.

SYNOPSIS

This Resolution extends the due date of the final report of the School Consolidation Task Force from January 30, 2018, to May 15, 2018.
