HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 23

RECOGNIZING THE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND SYSTEM OF HEALTHCARE BY THE HENRIETTA JOHNSON MEDICAL CENTER AND THE LARED MEDICAL HEALTH CENTER.

WHEREAS , the Mid-Atlantic Association of Community Health Centers (“MACHC”) is a 36-year-old non-profit membership organization whose members consist of community, migrant and homeless health centers, local non-profit and community-owned healthcare programs; and

WHEREAS , MACHC is the federally designated Primary Care Association for the State of Delaware and Maryland health centers ; and

WHEREAS , the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware and LaRed Medical Health Center headquartered in Georgetown, Delaware, are Federally Qualified Health Centers and members of MACHC, that provide health care services to thousands of medically underserved and uninsured Delawareans annually; and

WHEREAS , the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center and the LaRed Medical Health Center are important and essential to the continuum of healthcare in the State of Delaware and improvement of healthcare outcomes for the community; and

WHEREAS , the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center and the LaRed Medical Health Center deliver accessible, affordable, cost-effective, and quality primary healthcare to Delawareans in need, and the MACHC is built on helping member health centers provide such services.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the 150th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the Senate concurring therein, that the Mid Atlantic Association of Community Health Centers and its Delaware health center members, the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center and the LaRed Health Center, be recognized as contributing substantially to the quality of life and system of healthcare in Delaware to the benefit of all Delawareans.

SYNOPSIS

This Concurrent Resolution recognizes the contributions made by the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center and the LaRed Health Center to the quality of life and system of healthcare in Delaware.
