AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 19 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS. |
Section 1.Amend §§1311A(b), Title 19 of the Delaware Codeby making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:
(b) For purposes of bargaining pursuant to this section, employees shall be classified in the following bargaining units, each of which shall independently bargain compensation:
(9) Law-enforcement and investigative agents which is composed of
agency police officers, natural resource and environmental control officers,
parole and probation officers of the Department of Correction, alcoholic
beverage control officers, investigators and similar occupations;
(13) Department of Natural Resource and Environmental Control police officers, parole and probation officers of the Department of Correction and Council on Police Training (COPT), and certified police officers of the Capitol Police and State Fire Marshall.
SYNOPSIS

This bill removes Probation and Parole officers and Capitol and DNREC police officers from one group and creates a new group for purposes of collective bargaining. Certified police officers of the Office of State Fire Marshal are included in the new group. |
