HOUSE BILL NO. 411

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 24 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE BOARD OF ELECTRICAL EXAMINERS REGARDING INSPECTIONS.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


(a) An agent of the Division may inspect during business hours, without prior notice, any business or school where electrical services are offered, rendered or taught or any other place where such services are offered, rendered or taught.

(b) An agent of the Division acting pursuant to subsection (a) of this section: may inspect and copy records required to be kept by this chapter; may inspect within reasonable limits and in a reasonable manner the premises and all pertinent equipment; and may inspect other things therein, including records, files, papers and facilities relating to violation of this chapter.

(c) All information gathered under this section shall be kept confidential in accordance with all federal and state laws regarding privacy.


SYNOPSIS

This bill allows inspectors with the Division of Professions Regulations to inspect businesses, schools, or other places where electrical services are offered, rendered or taught to ensure compliance with the laws relating to electrical services in Title 24 of the Delaware Code.
