HOUSE BILL NO. 159

 

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 14 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATED TO LICENSE REQUIREMENTS AND EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR SCHOOL PERSONNEL.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

 

Section 1. Amend §1205, Title 14 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows and redesignating accordingly:

§ 1205.  Professional Standards Board.

(c) School nurses must comply with all licensing requirements as set forth by the Professional Standards Board and will be removed from any references or requirements under the “Specialist Appraisal Process” contained under the DPAS II system.  Each district and charter school will establish their own evaluation criteria for school nurses, subject to any bargaining agreement.

 

 

SYNOPSIS

This Bill confirms licensing requirements for school nurses are established by the Professional Standards Board, and evaluation criteria for school nurses are established by the District or Charter School.
