Summary

As introduced Bill 23-583 authorizes animal control officers to operate emergency lights and sirens when responding to a life threatening animal-related emergency. It provides a bond to care for seized animals during the pendency of criminal or other proceedings. It prohibits dog fighting and sexual contact between a person and animals. It puts restrictions on the sale of dogs and cats at pet stores among other things.
