Summary

As introduced it includes establishing a permanent early warning and support system to expand the grade range covered by the system to grades 1 through 11. The system will track how individual students are performing on certain indicators of high school and college readiness, including scoring a 2 or lower on any Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers exam. It establishes the Office of Graduate Support to support recent graduates struggling to find employment or at college. The Office of the State Superintendent for Education is required to track outcomes for DCPS graduates and provide recommendations to the Office of Graduate Support and Department of Employment Services.
