Summary

As introduced it authorizes the Mayor to submit a request to the Office of the Attorney General to petition the Court to appoint a receiver and shortens time frames to expedite the process. It requires the Court to retain and monitor cases. It authorizes the Court to order any owner to contribute funds in excess of the rents received to fund the abatement, reimburse the District, relocate tenants, and to operate and maintain the building while in receivership.
