AN ACT EXTENDING WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTIONS TO EMPLOYEES OF BUSINESSES RECEIVING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE STATE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 4-61dd of the general statutes be amended to extend whistleblower protections to employees of entities receiving financial assistance under title 32 of the general statutes who report or provide information relating to such entity's failure to meet any contractual obligation or satisfy any condition of the financial assistance agreement.

Statement of Purpose:

To extend whistleblower protections to employees of businesses who receive economic development financial assistance from the state.
