AN ACT INCREASING THE MINIMUM EARNINGS NECESSARY TO QUALIFY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to increase the required base period wages enabling an individual to be eligible for unemployment benefits to a minimum of one thousand eighty dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase the minimum earnings necessary to qualify for unemployment benefits to account for inflation.
