AN ACT CONCERNING A DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN AND STATE EMPLOYEE PENSIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all state employees hired on or after July 1, 2013, to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan rather than the current defined benefit plan.
Statement of Purpose:
To save the state money by reducing its long-term liabilities through comprehensive pension reform.
