AN ACT CONCERNING THE CURRENT PREVAILING WAGE THRESHOLDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to increase the threshold amount for public works projects that are required to adhere to prevailing wage laws to eight hundred thousand dollars for new construction and two hundred thousand dollars for remodeling.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide local tax relief and facilitate public works projects by doubling the current threshold amounts that determine when public works projects must abide by prevailing wage laws.
