AN ACT CONCERNING PROTECTING THE INTERESTS OF PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to (1) require the Commissioner of Developmental Services to develop a strategic plan to ease a waiting list for services, (2) require the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management to consult with stakeholders on a plan to close facilities operated by the department, and (3) require advance notice when the eligibility will end for state-assisted care of an individual with intellectual disability.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve services for and protect the interests of persons with developmental disabilities.
