AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING BATH SALTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the sale of substances labeled as bath salts that have similar effect as Mephedrone (4-methylmethcathinone) and MDPV (3,4-methyenedioxypyrovalerone) in schedule I of the controlled substances scheduling regulations.

Statement of Purpose:

To ban the sale of intoxicating bath salts that contain ingredients not currently in schedule I of the controlled substances scheduling regulations.
