Special Act No. 18-1

AN ACT ENSURING CONTINUING WATER SERVICE FOR CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 1 of special act 08-7 is amended to read as follows (Effective from passage):

From the effective date of [this act] special act 08-7 until October 1, [2018] 2019, notwithstanding sections 22a-365 to 22a-378, inclusive, of the general statutes, the town of Durham may withdraw up to one hundred thousand gallons of water per day for three consecutive days per year without the water diversion permit required under said sections. The town of Durham shall pay any applicable water diversion permit fee for such three-day period unless the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection waives such fee.
