RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE CONSTITUTION TO PERMIT A PROBATE COURT JUDGE TO COMPLETE HIS OR HER TERM OF OFFICE UPON ATTAINING SEVENTY YEARS OF AGE.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That article eighth of the amendments to the Constitution of the state be amended to permit a Probate Court judge to finish the term for which he or she was most recently elected when such judge attains seventy years of age prior to completion of the term.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a Probate Court judge who attains seventy years of age to complete the term for which he or she was most recently elected.
