AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF AN ADJUDICATION PROCESS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-76h of the general statutes be amended to require the parent or guardian of a child requiring special education and related services and the local or regional board of education responsible for educating such child to participate in an adjudication conducted by an impartial third-party adjudicator before conducting a special education hearing.
Statement of Purpose:
To require parties to participate in an adjudication conducted by an impartial third-party adjudicator before conducting a special education hearing.
