AN ACT ESTABLISHING CONNECTICUT AS A "SANCTUARY STATE" FOR IMMIGRANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prevent the state police from demanding information concerning citizenship from individuals with whom they interact.
Statement of Purpose:
To make Connecticut a "sanctuary state" for immigrants, regardless of residency status.
