AN ACT REQUIRING AN ANNUAL REPORT ON SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE BENEFITS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 17b-105a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to annually report to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to human services on the average length of time recipients of supplemental nutritional assistance have been receiving such assistance and what percentage have exceeded a federal time limit of three months for able-bodied adults without dependents who are not meeting federal work requirements.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase transparency in state government.
