AN ACT CONCERNING PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES FOR STATE FOREST LANDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-19a of the general statutes be amended to increase the state grant in lieu of taxes to towns having a certain percentage of state forest lands located therein.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase state reimbursement to towns which are unable to develop and tax a significant portion of their land due to state ownership.
