AN ACT PROHIBITING CERTAIN CAMPAIGN EXPENDITURES WITH CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM FUNDS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the treasurer of the candidate committee of any candidate participating in the Citizens' Election Program from making any expenditure or expenditures in excess of one thousand dollars, in the aggregate, to any entity owned in whole or in part by any member of the immediate family of any member of the General Assembly.

Statement of Purpose:

To prohibit the use of Citizens' Election Program funds for the payment of goods and services from business entities owned by family of members of the General Assembly.
