AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS FOR CERTAIN TELEPHONE CALLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require a disclosure statement at the beginning of a telephone call to a consumer, if the call is unsolicited and is made for commercial or information gathering purposes.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect consumers from misleading commercial or information gathering telephone communications.
