AN ACT REQUIRING MICROCHIPPING OF DOGS IMPORTED INTO THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require all animal rescue organizations that import dogs to the state to microchip each dog and to retain records that are available to individuals who adopt such dogs.
Statement of Purpose:
To better keep track of dogs imported to the state by animal rescue organizations.
