AN ACT CONCERNING WATER TESTING FOR PURPOSES OF SHELLFISH HARVESTING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to allow for local facilities to test water samples relating to the decision of the Department of Agriculture to open or close shellfish harvesting areas.

Statement of Purpose:

To avoid state agency time constraints that may result in shellfish harvesting areas unnecessarily being closed.
