AN ACT CONCERNING RUNNING BAMBOO.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 22a-381e of the general statutes be amended to prohibit persons from allowing running bamboo to spread within the forty-foot buffer zone, limit enforcement of such restrictions to municipal zoning officers and tree wardens and make all fines payable to the municipality that enforces such restrictions.

Statement of Purpose:

To amend the state's running bamboo law to provide additional prohibitions and provide incentive for municipal enforcement of such law.
