AN ACT CONCERNING FINES FOR RUNNING BAMBOO AND ENFORCEMENT OF RUNNING BAMBOO RESTRICTIONS BY MUNICIPALITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a fine of one hundred dollars per day for each day that a violation of the state's running bamboo restrictions exists and that municipalities be authorized to enforce such restrictions and to retain fifty per cent of any fines associated with such enforcement.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide for local enforcement of the state's running bamboo law.
