AN ACT CONCERNING THE TEACHING OF GIFTED AND TALENTED CHILDREN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require institutions of higher education to encourage students in teacher preparation programs to specialize in the teaching of gifted and talented children by offering incentives, including, but not limited to, loan forgiveness.

Statement of Purpose:

To encourage students in teacher preparation programs to become specialized in the teaching of gifted and talented children.
