AN ACT CONCERNING SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECTS AT ELEVEN SCHOOLS IN WALLINGFORD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That, notwithstanding the provisions of section 10-283 of the general statutes, or any regulation adopted pursuant to said section 10-283, requiring that no school building project shall be added to the 2011 school construction priority list, the projects for roof replacement at Lyman Hall High School, Dag Hammarskjold Middle School, James H. Moran Middle School, E. C. Stevens Elementary School, Highland Elementary School, Mark T. Sheehan High School, Rock Hill Elementary School, Cook Hill Elementary School, Moses Y. Beach Elementary School, Pond Hill Elementary School and Parker Farms Elementary School in Wallingford with estimated total project costs of one million dollars is included in the 2011 school construction priority list and shall be eligible to be subsequently considered for a grant commitment from the state, provided the town of Wallingford files an application for school building projects prior to June 30, 2011, and meets all other provisions of chapter 173 of the general statutes or any regulation adopted by the State Board of Education.
Statement of Purpose:
To include eleven school building projects for roof replacement at schools in Wallingford to the 2011 priority list.
