AN ACT CONCERNING LICENSURE OF ACCREDITED NONPROFIT COMMUNITY PROVIDERS OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to permit accredited nonprofit community providers of certain health and human services to operate without obtaining a license from the Department of Public Health or the Department of Social Services when the national accreditation requirements meet or exceed the standards for licensure.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce costs and enhance administrative and operational efficiencies for accredited nonprofit community providers and the state.
