AN ACT CONCERNING AN EVALUATION OF THE MEDICAID PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than July 1, 2011, the Commissioner of Social Services shall contract with an independent state-based organization, which shall evaluate the state's Medicaid program. Not later than July 1, 2012, the organization shall report on the evaluation, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to human services. Such report shall include, but not be limited to: (1) The organization's evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of the Medicaid program; (2) a comparison between the state's Medicaid program and other states' Medicaid programs; and (3) recommendations for changes to the state's Medicaid program.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
