AN ACT EXCLUDING RETIREMENT BENEFITS FROM COLLECTIVE BARGAINING BY STATE AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapters 68 and 113 of the general statutes be amended to remove retirement benefits as a subject matter for collective bargaining by state and municipal employees, effective for recently-hired and future employees.

Statement of Purpose:

To bring state and municipal collective bargaining statutes into line with neighboring states by removing retirement benefits as a subject matter for such bargaining.
