AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR COMPUTERIZED STATE-WIDE TESTING OF STUDENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate ____ dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Education for the purpose of developing an information technology infrastructure to facilitate computerized state-wide testing under section 10-14n of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide the infrastructure necessary to facilitate computerized state-wide testing.
