AN ACT CONCERNING AN AGREEMENT AMONG THE STATES TO ELECT THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES BY NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to adopt the Agreement Among the States to Elect the President of the United States by National Popular Vote and, upon adoption of said agreement by a number of states representing a majority of Electoral College votes, commit Connecticut's electoral votes to the presidential candidate with the greatest vote total nationally.

Statement of Purpose:

To proceed toward implementing the interstate compact to determine the election of the President by national popular vote.
