AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY ON NURSING HOME WORKER STRIKES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Labor Department, in consultation with the Department of Public Health, shall study issues concerning the enactment of statutory limitations on the length of time employees of a nursing home may strike as a result of a labor dispute. Not later than January 1, 2013, the Labor Commissioner shall report on such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Labor Department to study issues relating to the length of time employees of a nursing home may strike as a result of a labor dispute.
