AN ACT CONCERNING INCENTIVES FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 126a of the general statutes be amended to provide that a municipality will receive an enhancement of its education cost sharing grant for each percentage point of affordable housing stock provided.

Statement of Purpose:

To incentivize municipalities to promote affordable housing instead of punitive burden shifting.
