AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIME PERIOD FOR FUNDS TO ESCHEAT TO THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 3-57a of the general statutes be amended to change the period of time after which funds are deemed escheated to the state from three to seven years and that the state budget for the biennium ending June 30, 2017, be amended to reflect the extension of such period.
Statement of Purpose:
To extend the period of time after which funds are deemed escheated to the state.
