AN ACT CONCERNING CLAIMS AGAINST THE STATE FOR THE RECOVERY OF DAMAGES BASED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 53 of the general statutes be amended to require the Office of the Claims Commissioner to compile information on claims against the state filed prior to, on or after the effective date of this act that seek the recovery of damages for sexual assault committed by state officers, employees or agents.

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Claims Commissioner to compile information on claims against the state that are filed for the recovery of damages based on sexual assault by state officers, employees or agents.
