Summary
To provide that: (1) A motorized wheelchair manufacturer shall provide to a motorized wheelchair owner or independent repairer all parts, embedded software, firmware, tools and technical documentation necessary for the owner or repairer to perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair work on the wheelchair; (2) any failure to provide such parts, software, firmware, tools and technical documentation constitutes an unfair or deceptive act or practice within the meaning of the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act; and (3) no such manufacturer shall be required to divulge any trade secret to an owner or independent repairer.
