LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
SB 704, as introduced, Galgiani.
Division of Boating and Waterways: water hyacinth control programs.
Existing law establishes the Division of Boating and Waterways in the Department of Parks and Recreation and requires the division to perform specified responsibilities regarding the control of invasive aquatic plant species in state waterways, including water hyacinth.
This bill would require that division to collaborate with the California Conservation Corps and use members of the corps in implementing its water hyacinth control programs, as provided.
