The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

 Section 8000 of the Government Code is amended to read:

8000.

 (a) Notwithstanding any other law, the following advisory bodies are hereby abolished:

(1) Ethics and Advertising Committee in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(2) Bureau of Automotive Repair Advisory Board.

(3) Training Course Advisory Board.

(4) Collection Agency Board in Bureau of Collection and Investigative Services.

(5) Advisory Board on Private Security Services.

(6) Private Security Task Force Guard in Bureau of Collection and Investigative Services.

(7) Private Security Task Force Disciplinary Review Committees in Bureau of Collection and Investigative Services.

(8) State Board of Cosmetology Advisory Committee on Inspections and Disciplinary Review.

(9) BEAR Advisory Board Executive Committee in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(10) Electronic and Appliance Repair Advisory Board in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(11) Industry Liaison in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(12) Consumer Outreach in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(13) Manufacturers and Service in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(14) Contractors Liaison in Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair.

(15) State Tax Preparer Advisory Committee.

(16) California Advisory Board of Home Furnishings.

(17) Consumer Advisory Council.

(b) As used in this chapter, “advisory body” means any committee, council, task force, board, panel, or other governmental entity.
