January 25, 2021

An act to amend Section 1690 of the Military and Veterans Code, relating to the military.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

SB 253, as introduced, Grove. Military: service: elected officers.
Existing law establishes that an elected officer of the state who is called to serve with the Armed Forces of the United States has a right to return to and reenter office after active military service if the term of office they were elected to has not expired.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to that provision.
