   An act to amend Section 14521 of the Government Code, relating to
transportation.


	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


   SB 1208, as introduced, Bates. California Transportation
Commission.
   Existing law creates the California Transportation Commission,
with specified powers and duties relative to programming of
transportation capital improvement projects and other related
matters. Existing law authorizes the commission to request and review
reports of the Department of Transportation and other entities
pertaining to transportation issues and concerns that the commission
determines need special study.
   This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.
   Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no.
State-mandated local program: no.


THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  Section 14521 of the Government Code is amended to
read:
   14521.  The commission may request and review reports of the
department and of other entities  which pertain 
 pertaining  to transportation issues and concerns that the
commission determines need special study.
