LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
Existing law authorizes the Attorney General to appoint agents and other employees as the Attorney General deems necessary. Existing law requires all persons employed within the Department of Justice designated as peace officers and performing investigative duties to obtain a certificate from the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to those provisions.
