CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2019–2020 REGULAR SESSION

Assembly Bill No. 948

Introduced by Assembly Member Kalra

February 20, 2019

An act to amend Section 12841 of the Water Code, relating to water.

LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 948, as introduced, Kalra. Flood control or watershed protection projects: recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement.
Existing law, where payment is specifically authorized by the Legislature, requires the state to pay 50% of the nonfederal capital costs of the recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement features of a project where recreation and fish and wildlife enhancement features are contained in a flood control or watershed protection project, as specified. Existing law recites various legislative findings and declarations relating to providing for the preservation and enhancement of the state’s fish and wildlife resources and recreational opportunities in connection with flood control and watershed protection projects.
This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the findings and declarations.
