Existing law establishes the Emergency Medical Services Authority to oversee emergency medical services in the state and requires the authority to develop minimum training and scope of practice standards for EMT-I, EMT-II, and EMT-P personnel. Existing law states that these requirements do not preclude the adoption of additional training standards for EMT-II and EMT-P personnel by local emergency medical services agencies.
This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
