An act relating to pupil instruction.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 915, as introduced, Arambula. Pupil instruction: drug education.
Existing law requires instruction to be given in the elementary and secondary schools by appropriately trained instructors on drug education and the effects of the use of tobacco, alcohol, narcotics, dangerous drugs, as defined, and other dangerous substances.
This bill would express the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to direct middle and high schools to provide drug education curriculum on efforts to help someone who experiences an overdose.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact subsequent legislation to direct middle and high schools to provide drug education curriculum on efforts to help someone who experiences an overdose.
