An act relating to public health.

AB 738, as introduced, Nguyen. Public health.
Existing law establishes the State Department of Public Health, to implement various programs throughout the state relating to public health, including, but not limited to, licensing and regulating health facilities, maintaining vital statistics, controlling infectious disease, and implementing programs relating to the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.
This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to public health.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 It is the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to public health.
