An act to add Section 6728 to the Government Code, relating to LGBT Pride Month.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 2969, Low. LGBT Pride Month.
Existing law requires the Governor to proclaim various days in honor of a person, status, or an event.
This bill would require the Governor annually to proclaim the month of June as LGBT Pride Month.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 6728 is added to the Government Code, to read:

6728.
 The Governor shall annually proclaim the month of June as LGBT Pride Month.
